Technical Tuesday: Foundations

For most of the world, foundations are designed to support the weight of something. But in the gas compression industry, we use the mass of the foundation to hold an engine down. So if you are ever around a foundation replacement and see the engine supported by the teeny-tiny, little supports, it can be alarming… but it is perfectly safe. Want to know more about engine foundations like inspection methods, design, repair/replacement, and more? Join us at the Eastern Gas Compression Roundtable, September 14-16, 2021 at the David Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh, PA or contact us for more information.
