CH4 Facts: The Use of Natural Gas in Glass Manufacturing

CH4 Facts Graphics

Today, we’re looking at how natural gas plays a part in the glass that’s in our homes. We mentioned how important glass is to food preservation in a past post, but what about other areas of the home? Glass production literally changed the world! It was the first effective way to keep the outside out while still allowing visibility. Glass is also a key component in the lighting that opened the world after dark to us.  Glass has improved our health, our lifestyle, and our safety, and it is most often manufactured in a furnace using natural gas. If you have a specific question, send us a message, or plan to join us at the Eastern Gas Compression Roundtable, May 3-5, 2022 at the David Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh, PA.
