The Eastern Gas Compression Roundtable (EGCR), a non-profit organization, sponsors an annual educational opportunity for employees and family members of organizations involved in the exploration, development, production, storage, transportation and distribution of natural gas.
Eligibility also includes employees and family members of organizations that manufacture and/or distribute, equipment, materials and/or supplies as well as service providers, who supply/support these for the natural gas industry. Dependent upon the financial success of the annual Roundtable, the Executive and General Committees may award multiple scholarships annually in amounts recommended by the Scholarship Committee to eligible individuals who are selected and recommended by the Committee.
The scholarships may be used by the recipient for any educational expense incurred while obtaining a diploma or certificate from an accredited College, University or post-high school Technical School/College. Applicants must re-apply each year to be eligible.
Eligibility
- The individual applying for a scholarship must be a current employee or retiree (or a "direct family member" of either) of a company who either sends employees to, displays materials/services available at, presents or instructs at, the annual Roundtable or provides participants on any committee that provides the management for the EGCR.
- A direct family member is defined as a spouse; child; grandchild; great-grandchild; stepchild; step-grandchild or step great-grandchild of the employee or retiree (includes “great-great,” “great-great-great,” etc.).
